History of Ashland Elementary School

Our school is actually at its second location. Our first location was on Bridgeton Road (Natural Bridge) one mile west of Fairgrounds. It opened in 1873. In 1911, the school moved to our current location, 3921 N. Newstead, opening up to students in September of that year. The school bulding was designed by famed architect William B. Ittner.
